Westwood is a beautiful suburban community located about 13 miles west of Boston, with convenient access to Route 95/128. While top schools draw many young families to town, it's convenient location, commuter conveniences, and plentiful shopping make it an ideal choice for many people.

Westwood is a mid-sized town with a population of about 16,000. There are two commuter rail stops and full MBTA bus service. The Route 128 train station offers both commuter access to Boston and is also a regional stop for AMTRAK high speed service from Boston to New York and Washington D.C.

In 2018 Westwood High School was ranked 27th in the state by US News & World Report. There are five elementary schools (Deerfield, Downey, Hanlon, Martha Jones & Sheehan), a Middle School and High School. 

Fitness & Recreation

Westwood offers a wide array of sites to enjoy recreation and fitness, including many conservation areas, playgrounds, ball fields and an indoor pool facility at Westwood High School. Enjoy more than 1,000 acres of recreation at Hale Reservation, which offers kids camps year round, swimming and boating in the summer, and other recreational activities throughout the year. For indoor fitness, Lifetime Athletic near University Station Shopping Center will not disappoint!

Westwood offers a vibrant retail community, including the impressive new University Station shopping center, which includes 2.3 million square feet of retail, office and residential space. The shopping areas of High Street and Islington's Washington Street offer additional retail services that provide convenience for residents.

Dining options are plentiful in Westwood, where you'll find options like Chiara, a neighborhood Bistro and local favorite with an elegant, creative menu. There are also more familiar options that nestled in and around the University Station shopping area.

Westwood brings the community together at it's annual Westwood Day celebration in September, and at the fabulous Fireworks display over Westwood High School on New Years Eve.
